Activities:
- Magnets: Create sculptures from different shapes and sizes of magnets. See how the magnets affect the field mapping paper, and how they interact with one another.
- Design a water balloon landing craft, in the same way that landers on Mars need to survive impact with the planet surface. Use the materials supplied and test it with a water balloon being dropped from a ladder and landing after being launched across the park lawn.
- Float your boat: Build a boat from materials that we supply and see what it takes to make it float in our swimming pool. How much weight can it hold before it sinks?
